New maple leaf texture (4Kx4K in normal mode and 2Kx2K in reduced texture mode)
Changed trunk texture for other trees.
New texture for medical bin.
Added dirt layer to metal doors.
Modified spec values for rubble terrain material.
Changed bricks for castle columns.

Of course. Use it, make a profile for crysis 2 and enable triplebuffering. You will see no more FPS drop. MaLDo mentioned D3DOverrider or twice ALT+TAB in the mod description to enable triplebuffering.
DeleteNever had issues with that in the past as I have been using adaptive vsync for some time now. Also I just recently changed from 120hz to a 60hz monitor.

ReplyDeleteFrom the screenshot from different user, I'm mixed: sometimes it's "oh my god it's almost CG" and sometimes I'm "oh well the tesselation here or texture there is not great, or the overall lights are not that realistic like on GTA IV mods"
Maldo is there a way you can rename the levels under modded campaign to match the names of the regular campaign.

Thank you, awesome work man. Congrats. MaLDoHD made Crysis 2 a tolerable game in the end. Best looking game I've seen, fixed all issues that Crytek did not and salvaged this game. Story line and game play are sub par, but Crysis 3 is right around the corner. Judging from all the video's and news on Crysis 3, it seems Crytek learned from their mistakes. We'll find out Feb. 19th. Thanks again MaLDo.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the game still tends to hard-lock even with the Reduced Textures box ticked. My 1 GB GPU can't seem to be able to handle the game at least at some point. It usually works, but at times it just hangs :(

ReplyDeleteThere are minor "issues" in your mod.
The object you add, appear or disappear quickly when your turn fast the camera, the same for some lights in several places. When you look up the light work, after you look straight and the light disappear, the ceiling becomes dark.
This is not very important because not very visible.
The other issues are floating mark of dirtyness or blood in some place, but once more, this is not very important.
In the wall street level, on the building where you must explode the "blue" doors ton enter inside, at the back near the ammo supply, the is a missing "vat" for flowers. So there is only flowers floatting in the air and no stand for it. This the only bug I saw for now. There is just still "mini" corpses in the level just after wall street, the first moment in night with rain. At the start there are many corpses on the floor, and some of them are very little like toys lol.
Anyway, the rest is perfect ! The best mod ever made for any game, the most amazing. Thank you for all your work and for this great mod.

I have another bug, with the sniper rifle. When I'm aiming a long time, the rifle dispear of hands, there is just the lens of the visor.

ReplyDeleteI noticed some bugs, although I'm pretty sure I'm running the latest version BEFORE the final 4.0 release. Ignore the bug reports if they've been fixed in the final release. :P

2) I'm noticing A LOT of AI bugs. The AI walk against walls all over the place. Not sure if this has anything to do with MaLDoHD, but I'm certain they weren't THIS dumb before? I have no other mods installed, this is a clean install with only MaLDOHD. Maybe you could check the AI triangulation in the levels (in case you even touched the level files). Screenshots:

And missing part of the wall texture in Lockart's building, in the stairs, still in the same level.
I already notice this issue in beta and you asked me if I had enough v-ram memory, so yes I have enough.

Same problem here and you probably have a ATI card. From what I understand Maldo doesnt have this problem on his system. Because he have a Nvidia based rig he dont know how to optimize for ATI users.

ReplyDeleteFor example the door and wall in 26 and 25... the 26th one looks more natural to me.. although not as clear as the 25th due to lower res texture. Same for the column in 33-34. Although 34 is lower res, the colors seem more natural compared to the many colors in 33. Other than that the updated column looks kickass.

ReplyDeleteHi Quentin, I asked for help a few times because I don't have that problem. I can see the textures without problem. If you have the problem and want help me, please try this:
ReplyDelete-rename your crysis 2 savegame folder (so you can recover it later)-> C:\Users\(user name)\Saved Games\Crysis2 to Crysis2_backup
-delete autoexec.cfg into crysis 2 game folder
-Start game without mods
-Change global graphic preset to Ultra
-Load roosevelt using console "map roosevelt" command (don't use resume game)
-You will see walls and roofs
-Close game
-Restart game and look graphics options (ultra, right?)
-Close game
-Launch MaLDoHD configurator, and select recommended settings and nothing morer
-Launch MaLDoHD v4 mod
-Load roosevelt usign console "map roosevelt" (don't use resume game)
Are walls and roofs invisible??
If yes, please repeat steps but using Extreme preset instead of Ultra in ingame options. Later use recommended settings into mod tool again.
If you can do this share results and thank you very much.

DeleteNot necessary - just launched game with mods disabled, changed everything to Ultra, played through to those buildings, then launched with mods enabled MHD4 config set to Recommended, and restarted the level playing through to those buildings - floors visible.
